Sterling silver pendant, finished in antique silver, of the Saint Benedict medal.

The silver Saint Benedict medal is an object of Christian devotion that represents the protection and blessing of the patron saint against evil and danger. This medal is a replica of the original medal created by Saint Benedict of Nursia in the 6th century, which became a popular amulet among Catholic believers.

On the obverse side of the medal is the image of Saint Benedict with a cross in his right hand and a book in his left.

On the reverse side of the medal is the Saint Benedict cross, which is a Latin cross with the letters CSPB on its four arms, meaning "Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti" (Cross of the Holy Father Benedict). In the four quadrants of the cross are the letters NDSM, which mean "Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux" (May the dragon not be my guide), and in the central circle of the cross is the image of a crown surrounded by the letters VRSNSMV, which mean "Vade Retro Satana, Nunquam Suade Mihi Vana" (Begone, Satan, do not tempt me with your vanities).

The silver Saint Benedict medal is highly valued by Catholics for its symbolism and its ability to offer protection against evil and danger. Many people wear it as a pendant or place it in strategic places in their homes to keep away danger and negative energies.
