What is the triqueta?
The triqueta is a symbol of Indo-European origin that alludes to the triple dimension of the feminine divinity, also symbolizes life, death and rebirth (life, death and reincarnation for the Celts). It has been found mainly in Celtic steles, in Viking runes and in pots and Roman vessels (it is believed that they were made by Celtic slaves). Throughout history it has assumed many meanings such as the triple dimension of equality, eternity and indivisibility. It also reflects the Celtic philosophy according to which the All has three levels: physical, mental and spiritual.
There is a variant that has an intertwined circle, the intertwined variant is because it has been Christianized by Christianity to mean "father, son and holy spirit" and thus dominate and subdue the Celts and Vikings in ancient times, however for Celts and Vikings never lost their original meaning.
